Jeff EatonJeff Eaton - Head Instructor

After many years of playing and coaching hockey in Canada and the United States, Eaton has earned a solid reputation for showing promising athletes how to reach their full potential.

Eaton's most recent position was as the Head Coach of the Pacific Steelers Junior Female Hockey Club, for the 2008/2009 season. The Steelers play in the Junior Women's Hockey League, based out of the East Coast of the United States, where the program has been recognized by US College Coaches as one of the top programs in North America. Eaton has had a longstanding relationship with the Steelers program, which has placed over 65 players into US college hockey programs.

As the former head coach of the University of Colorado Men's Varsity Hockey Team, Coach Eaton racked up a 41-18-5 (.694) record in two seasons. He led the team to back-to-back appearances in the American Collegiate Hockey Association's (ACHA) National Tournament in the 2006 and 2007, finishing in 8th place his first year as head coach.

Coach Eaton's successes at the University of Colorado caught the attention of the Colorado Hockey Insider magazine, which named him its Coach of the Month in March 2007. He was also a participant on the ACHA's 10-member National Ranking Committee.

But Eaton already had a well-established reputation as a player and professional coach in British Columbia, Canada.

He grew up on the ice and played at the highest levels on top teams in the Vancouver area. At the age of 14, he started his Junior hockey career, where he spent 5 years with teams such as the Trail Smoke Eaters and the Nanaimo Clippers.

Once Eaton turned his attention to coaching, his professional hockey career took off.

He began coaching in 1995, teaching skills development throughout Canada and the United States. Then, in 1998, Eaton was named General Manager/Hockey Director of the prestigious Burnaby Winter Club in Burnaby, B.C., Canada. The club is known for producing hockey champions and has sent more than 25 of its alumni to the NHL

During his tenure as General Manager Eaton helped to lead AAA teams at every level to 33 Pacific Coast Amateur Hockey Association league and playoff championships as well as five British Columbia Amateur Hockey Association championships in five seasons. This includes back-to-back Bantam championships in 2002 and 2003, with the 2002 team winning a Western Canadian championship. The club also saw more than 30 of its players selected in the Western Hockey League's Bantam Draft.

Eaton also coached the Vancouver Vipers Brick Team in 2001, 2004 and 2005, and his many other AAA youth hockey teams have enjoyed great success at Canada's top youth tournaments over the years.

Committed to furthering his own education, he is a Level 4 Certified USA Hockey Coach, and in 2006 he attended both the Canadian International Coaches Conference in Toronto, Ontario, and the American Hockey Coaches Association Conference in Naples, Florida.
