Mark Soares
Mark Soares has had many successful years of playing hockey at a competitive level. While playing
Junior A for the Burnaby Express, he won a National Championship at the Royal Bank Cup Tournament in
2006. He has also had the experience of playing NCAA hockey at Bemidji State University, and currently
plays at the CIS level at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario, where he is completing the last year
of his Business degree with a Major in Management.
Mark has played alongside many talented hockey players, many of whom currently play in the NHL. His own experience of playing and training with elite athletes gives him a unique insight and knowledge base of competitive sports and what it takes to reach his goals.
By starting his own training company, Maxx Force, Mark hopes to share with young athletes how hard work and a good attitude, along with commitment and sport specific training will help them reach their goals. His plans for the future are to continue along his path of playing professional hockey and during the off season, to lead and manage a sports training facility with his sister, Maggie Soares.
